Phase A preparation: prepare a macerate of annatto powder in sesame oil, at least one day before the preparation of the recipe. It would be preferable to macerate for 5 days, to get the most out of the active substances from annatto. Mix the oil with the powder in a bottle or vial and shake several times a day. Finally, strain it with the help of a filter or through a triple layer of gauze.
The filtered macerate and the ingredients of phase B are added to a heat-resistant glass, and heated in a water bath. After melting the wax, remove from the heat, add the phase C ingredients and mix well.
Place the glass in a bowl with cold water and mix the composition vigorously until it reaches the consistency of cream. The balm thus prepared is transferred to the dedicated container.
The balm, with a delicate scent given by cocoa butter and beeswax, acts as a physical barrier to protect the skin from the sun's rays. It also contains antioxidant ingredients that provide protection at the cellular level. It has a fairly oily texture, lightly colors the skin and has good water resistance.
Prepares the skin for sun exposure and promotes an aesthetic and even tan. It is suitable for both adults and children.
