Oil-free exfoliating cream, normal/mixed skin

Formula: MT20405

A	flat mineral water	35 gr
A	emulsifier Vari-Btms (Varisoft)	5 gr
B	gentle washing base	3 gr
B	xanthan gum	0,5 gr
C	orange peel exfoliator (or strawberry seeds)	2,5 gr
C	calcium carbonate	2 gr
C	rhododendron essential oil	10 drops
C	cosgard	10 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:
Add the phase A ingredients to a heat-resistant container and place it in a water bath until the content is completely melted; meanwhile mix.

The composition is removed from the heat source and immediately mixed for about 3 minutes. When the mixer can no longer cope, mix manually with a mini whisk or a teaspoon/spatula. To accelerate the cooling process, place the beaker in a bowl of cold water and continue to mix manually for 3 more minutes. The composition will whiten and harden.

Add the gentle washing base from phase B and mix well. The composition will liquefy. Now gradually sprinkle the xanthan gum while mixing and then let the composition rest. After a few minutes the composition hardens and becomes creamy.

Incorporate the Phase C ingredients one at a time, mixing after each. The resulting composition is transferred to the dedicated container.

The exfoliating cream is applied by circular movements of comfortable intensity after which the skin is rinsed abundantly with lukewarm water. The cream does not contain oils, therefore it is not greasy. The skin will be free of dead cells and impurities, it will be hydrated and invigorated. It is especially suitable for slightly dry, normal or mixed skin.

Options and explanations:

calcium carbonate acts as a mild abrasive agent in this composition
the Varisoft emulsifier, although used mainly for hair conditioning, is an emollient and softening ingredient for the skin, with which you can also obtain creamy compositions without using oils
the cosgard preservative cannot be replaced with grapefruit seed extract, but can be replaced with fragard (same amount)
the essential oil can be replaced with another chosen according to preferences and its properties or can be removed from the recipe
