Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:
In a small bowl prepare a homogeneous paste using the ingredients from phase C.

Phase A ingredients are added to a heat-resistant beaker. Phase B ingredients are added to another beaker. Both beakers are placed in a water bath, stirring each phase from time to time.
When both phases have reached a temperature of 70°C, remove the containers from the heat.

Phase B is added little by little over phase A, while in phase A the mixer is already working. Mix the composition for 3 minutes.
Place the beaker in a bowl of cold water to accelerate the cooling process, continuing to mix for 3 more minutes. If the mixer no longer copes due to the thickening of the composition, the homogenization is continued manually, energetically.

After the composition has reached body temperature, add the phase C paste and the phase D ingredients one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. The cream thus obtained is transferred to the dedicated container. The cream will harden, its consistency will be final the next day.

The result is a nourishing and emollient cream, enriched with vitamins, which protects the skin from dehydration and external factors. It is quite oily, absorbs slowly, leaves the skin soft, silky and hydrated.

Options and explanations:

  • instead of sesame oil, another vegetable oil can be used, chosen according to preferences and its properties; it is preferable to choose a less greasy textured oil, such as: kukui, macadamia, rice bran, jojoba or caprilis oil
  • another vegetable butter can be used instead of mango butter; murumuru or kokum butter would be good choices to get a cream with a slightly greasy texture
  • a part of the sesame oil can be replaced with lanolin, approximately up to 10%
  • acerola powder adds extra vitamins and antioxidants to the cream, but it practically can be removed from the recipe, completely eliminating phase C; coconut powder, for example, may be included instead; adjustments are made to the percentage of water in phase B
  • instead of the essential oil recommended in the recipe, you can use another essential oil or a natural fragrance
