Self-tanning cream for the face and body

Self-tanning cream for the face and body

Formula: 5201b

Phase Ingredients for ~100 ml % Quantity
A coconut oil 20 20 gr
A emulsifier Olliva 5 5 gr
B flat mineral water 62 62 gr
C DHA natural self-tanner, liquid 12 12 gr
C vitamin E 0,4 13 drops
C cosgard 0,6 20 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

If you want to use the powder version of DHA, the percentages of ingredients are as follows: 20% coconut oil, 5% emulsifier olliva, 66% water, 8% DHA powder, 0.4% vitamin E, 0.6% cosgard.

Phase A ingredients are added to a heat-resistant container. Add the water from phase B to another heat-resistant container.

Both containers are placed in a water bath and heated to 70°C, after which they are removed from the heat. If you do not have a thermometer, the heating will be done until the melting of phase A is complete.

Add phase B over phase A and mix for 3 minutes. If the mixer no longer copes due to the thickening of the composition, mixing is continued manually, vigorously. To accelerate the cooling process, place the container in a bowl of cold water and continue to mix for approximately 3 minutes.

Let the composition cool to body temperature, and add the ingredients of phase C, one by one, thoroughly mixing after each. The resulting cream is transferred to the dedicated container. pH: ~ 6

The cream will cause skin coloration through a completely harmless process, in the upper layers of the skin, in about 2 hours after application. The color will be final the next day.

For people with white skin or for those who want a discreet tan, the percentage of DHA can be halved, supplementing the percentage of water in phase B accordingly.

The result will be a soft cream with a discreet scent given by the coconut oil. Self-tanning creams do not provide sun protection. It can be applied to the body and face alike and no sun exposure is required.

We recommend exfoliating the skin (scrub) beforehand, to obtain a uniform color. Apply a moderate amount on the skin and try to distribute it as well as possible, in circular motions. Insist on even distribution, being careful not to apply twice on the same area. Apply a thinner layer on areas with thicker skin (knees, elbows). Wash your hands thoroughly after using the cream. The return to the natural color of the skin occurs progressively, after approximately a week.
