Cleansing and exfoliating mask with Reetha, mixed/oily skin

Formula: 4034

Phase Ingredients for one application Quantity
A ghassoul 3 gr
A reetha powder 4 gr
B flat water 5,5 gr
C laurel berry oil 1 gr
C lime essential oil 5 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:
In a bowl, mix the phase A ingredients well.
In another bowl add the water from phase B.
Sprinkle phase A over phase B and allow the powders to absorb the liquid without mixing. This procedure is recommended to avoid the formation of lumps and to obtain a homogeneous texture.
Mix, then add the oils from phase C and mix again until a uniform paste is obtained.
Note: depending on the batch, the density of the powders may vary slightly, and if at the end of the preparation the mask is too fluid or too compact, it will be supplemented with a little ghassoul or water, as the case may be.

Use:
The mask is ready and should be used immediately after preparation. Apply on the face avoiding the eye and lip area, leave it to act for approximately 10 minutes. It is removed with wet hands, in circular motions, a process by which the skin is mechanically exfoliated. Rinse with plenty of water, dry your face with a soft towel, then, if desired, apply a toner and moisturizer.

A 2 in 1 mask that cleanses and purifies the skin without drying it excessively and gently exfoliates it. It is recommended to apply once a week. If the skin is sensitive, you can remove the essential oil from the recipe, you can leave the mask for a shorter time and at the end you can omit the mechanical exfoliation, removing the mask only by rinsing.

Options:

  • black cumin seed oil or even neem oil, for those who like its smell, can be used instead of laurel berry oil
  • lime essential oil can be replaced with another essential oil chosen depending on the desired effect; a good alternative would be grapefruit essential oil
  • instead of flat water you can use floral water (rosemary, mint, witch hazel) or an infusion
