Anti-dandruff lotion with nettle and salicylic acid

Phase Ingredients for ~100 ml % Quantity
A peppermint water 42,3 42,3 gr
A nettle & mimosa infusion 50 50 gr
A allantoin 0,3 0,3 gr
A BHA natural salicylic acid 5 5 gr
B solubilizer for essential oils 1,2 1,2 gr
B oregano essential oil 0,2 6 drops
B palmarosa essential oil 0,2 6 drops
C cosgard 0,8 25 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:

  1. Prepare an infusion from 90 g of flat water + 7 g of nettle powder + 3 g of mimosa powder: add boiling water over the powders and leave for 15 minutes with the bowl covered, then filter. Filtration takes 12-15 minutes. The filtrate obtained is left to cool to room temperature. From the given quantities, you will obtain about 50 gr of filtered infusion; if a smaller amount has resulted, add flat water.
  2. In a glass with a base as narrow as possible, add the solubilizer and essential oils from phase B, and mix thoroughly.
  3. In another beaker, add the ingredients of phase A one at a time and mix thoroughly.
  4. Phase A solution is added over phase B, stirring in the meantime.
  5. At the end add the preservative and mix well.
  6. The resulting lotion is transferred to the dedicated container. pH ~6.

A beneficial lotion for hair that gets greasy quickly and irritated scalp, with itching, hair affected by dandruff. Spray moderately at the root after washing the hair, on clean, dry or slightly damp scalp, and massage gently. No rinsing required. Shake the bottle before use!
