"Naked" mattifying powder

Formula: 42177/2016

A makeup base, powder 50 3 gr
A magnesium stearate 10 0,6 gr
A sericite 37,5 2,3 gr
A yellow 09 oxide, cosmetic pigment  0,5 0,03 gr (1 x DROP spoon)
A brown 23 oxide, cosmetic pigment 0,5 0,03 gr (1 x DROP spoon)
B aromatic melon extract  1,5 3 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:

Transfer the ingredients of phase A to a mortar and mix thoroughly for a few minutes until a homogeneous powder with a uniform color is obtained. Add the aromatic extract and mix again for about 1 minute.
The powder thus obtained is transferred to the dedicated container. 

A delicate, translucent, silky powder that mattifies the skin and gives it a smooth look, with a light shade of warm beige. Apply on the skin with a powder puff or large makeup brush, after the day cream or the cream foundation. It can be applied on the face, neck and décolleté alike.

Options and explanations:

  • the aromatic extract recommended in the recipe can be replaced with another one, chosen according to preferences; you can also use a natural cosmetic fragrance oil or essential oil, in which case approximately 2 drops will be enough
  • the powder has only a light covering power and slightly shades the skin, it is not suitable as a powder foundation
  • in order to obtain a darker shade, the amount of pigments will be supplemented proportionally; to obtain a cooler shade, less yellow pigment will be used compared to the brown pigment
