Cleansing bar with clay and calendula

Cleansing bar with clay and calendula

Formula: CS1169

Phase Ingredients % Quantity for a 70 gr mold
A calendula oil 9 6,3 gr
A stearic acid 7 4,9 gr
B Sodium cocoyl isethionate 60 42 gr
B flat water 13 9,1 gr
C red clay 7 4,9 gr
C natural cosmetic fragrance oil Freesia 2 1,4 gr (~50 drops)
C petitgrain essential oil 2 1,4 gr (~50 drops)

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:

Add the phase A ingredients to a heat-resistant Berzelius beaker and place in a water bath, until the stearic acid melts.
Remove from the water bath and add the surfactant (be careful, it is a powdery product, do not inhale!) And the flat water from phase B.
Place back in the water bath for about 4-5 minutes, meanwhile mix slowly and thoroughly.

Remove from the water bath and add the phase C ingredients one at a time, stirring after each.
The composition thus prepared is transferred as quickly as possible to the prepared mold, before solidification begins. It is pressed and compacted as well as possible; having gloves, you can also manually press the composition into the mold.
Leave to cool and harden on a flat surface, for approximately 4 hours, after which it is removed from the mold.
The block is placed on a napkin or a small grill and after 48 hours it can be used.

We get a hygiene product that can replace shower gel or soap. It foams well, has a slight scrub effect due to the clay, is gentle on the skin, leaves it clean, soft and pleasantly scented.

Options and explanations:
