Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

*a larger amount is prepared (15 gr) because part of the composition is lost during transfer to the mascara container

Preparation method:
Add the ingredients of phases A and B to two separate small heat-resistant glasses. Place the phases in a water bath and heat until phase A melts and becomes homogeneous (approximately 70°C). During heating, both phases are mixed.

Remove the glasses from the water bath. Transfer the contents of phase B over phase A and mix vigorously for 3 minutes. Then, to speed up the cooling process, place the glass in a bowl with cold water and continue to mix for approximately 3 minutes.
Phase C ingredients are added one by one, over the cooled composition, with thorough mixing after each one.

Transfer to the mascara container: extract the composition with a syringe (without a needle); it is usually necessary to repeat the operation. Place the tip of the syringe in the hole of the mascara container and push the plunger slowly so that the preparation flows on the inner wall of the container and the air can escape to the side. Along the way, the container can be tapped to the table so that the preparation reaches the bottom.

It gives the lashes an elegant appearance, moderate volume and lasts quite well during the day. Apply on lashes twice. It is not water resistant.

Options and explanations:

  • cornflower or chamomile water can be used instead of flat water
  • we do not recommend replacing castor oil with another vegetable oil
  • we do not recommend replacing acacia gum and candelilla wax with other types
  • we do not recommend replacing white clay with another type of clay, it has the role of giving volume and at the same time must not weigh down the lashes
  • instead of the black pigment you can use another pigment or a combination of pigments
  • instead of fragard you can use grapefruit seed extract or cosgard (same amount)

  • Difficulty: beginner/advanced/experienced
  • Utensils: precision scale, 2 small Berzelius beakers, teaspoons, 20 ml syringe
