Nourishing shampoo with castor oil

Preparation method:
The ingredients of phase A are added to a heat-resistant glass, one by one. Be careful when handling the surfactants, avoid inhalation! The glass is placed in a water bath, heating the contents until the surfactants melt. Mix often to avoid clumping of the surfactants. Remove the beaker from the water bath and place it in a bowl with cold water, stirring regularly, until it cools to body temperature. If small lumps of surfactants are still visible, try to disperse them by crushing them on the wall of the glass with a teaspoon; the remaining small lumps will dissolve by the next day.
Phase B ingredients are added one by one, thoroughly mixing after each. Mix slowly, avoiding excessive foaming. The shampoo thus prepared is transferred to the dedicated container.

The result is a consistent, well foaming shampoo with a pleasant fresh scent. It is suitable for normal or slightly dry hair. For dry, damaged hair, it is also recommended to use a conditioner.

Options and explanations:

some of the flat mineral water (approximately 20%) can be replaced with floral water: chamomile, lime, lavender etc.
salt is an important ingredient in this formula, having the role of increasing viscosity (this property of salt is useful only in formulas based on anionic surfactant, such as Sodium coco-sulfate). You can use Himalayan salt, fine sea salt or regular salt without iodine
Cocamidopropyl betaine is also important in this formula because, in addition to increasing the foam and viscosity, it contributes to increasing the skin's tolerance to an anionic surfactant (solid surfactant); we do not recommend replacing this ingredient in the recipe
the combination of lime essential oil with the Fruit de juin fragrance oil gives a pleasant, fresh scent, but you can also use other essences chosen according to preferences and properties
the formula can also be enriched with 0.5% aloe vera powder, 2-3% keratin or honeyquat, included in phase B and adjusting the percentage of water from phase A accordingly
