Formula: IN3790

Phase Ingredients for ~100 ml % Quantity
A melissa water 72,4 73 gr (73 ml)
A guar gum 1 1 gr (4 x DASH spoon)
B esseSol, mineral filter 25 25 gr (17,9 ml)
B yellow 09 oxide, cosmetic pigment 0,8 0,8 gr (4 x DASH + 1 PINCH spoon)
B brown 23 oxide, cosmetic pigment 0,2 0,2 gr (1 x DASH spoon)
C grapefruit seed extract 0,6 20 drops

Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.

Preparation method:
Add the floral water and the guar gum to a bowl or glass and mix vigorously. Set aside to form the gel and in the meantime prepare phase B.

Preparation of phase B: ideally it should be prepared in a mortar with a pestle because a uniform dispersion of pigments is needed. If you do not have a mortar, you can use a bowl and a teaspoon, but the procedure takes a little longer. The pigments are added to the bowl/mortar, over which a little esseSol is added, so that the colors can be homogenized and dispersed well. When the paste is uniform, add the rest of the esseSol and mix.

The composition of phase B is added over phase A and mixed for 1-2 minutes, manually. Incorporate the phase C preservative and mix thoroughly. The obtained composition is transferred to the dedicated container. pH: 5,5 - 6

The result is a light gel emulsion, with a pleasant subtle scent, which acts as a physical barrier to protect the skin from the sun's rays. EsseSol sunscreen is an approved ingredient for certified organic cosmetics, which offers as its only sun protection ingredient an SPF 25 used with a percentage of minimum 22% in a cosmetic composition.

It can be applied on the face and body by adults and children alike, it is also suitable for people with sensitive skin. Apply a moderate amount that will be distributed as well as possible, with quick movements, to evenly disperse the product on the skin; it is not oily or sticky on the skin.

It is not water resistant. It leaves a fine, comfortable satin layer on the skin. If the skin is dry, it is recommended to be hydrated beforehand. It does not contain essential oils, synthetic preservatives or other ingredients that may be contraindicated for young children or during pregnancy.

Options and explanations:

  • if the pigments are not used, the composition is perfectly functional; on light skin it is almost invisible but on darker skin, a slightly whitish layer will be observed
  • linden or lavender water can be used instead of melissa water
  • 2-3% panthenol can be included in the formula or about 5% glycerin, decreasing accordingly the amount of floral water
