Arnica CO2 extract

Known for its ability to reduce inflammation and bruising, has analgetic anti-arthritic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and blood circulation-enhancing properties.

Extract obtained by supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, no solvent residues, standardized with organic sunflower oil to a constant content of sesquiterpene lactones.

Contains 4% sesquiterpene lactones, triterpenediol esters (faradiol- and arnidiolester), a small amount of essential oil, waxes, resins and organic sunflower oil.

The sesquiterpene lactones has analgetic, anti-arthritic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and blood circulation-enhancing properties.
Arnica extract is applied topically with good efficacy for symptomatic treatment of complaints connected with inflammation.

Applications, usage

• suitable in formulations for bruises, muscle pain, cramps, sprains and associated swellings resulting from sport injuries, inflammation in muscles and joints, particularly in acute stages of chronic arthritic conditions
• suitable in formulations for contusions, dislocations, hematoma, muscle soreness, backache, stiffness
• with blood circulation-enhancing effect it is well suited in formulations for treatment of venous insufficiency
• use arnica extract in ointments, creams, emulsions, massage oils, balms, recommended dosage 0,5-2%
