Widely used texturizer, anti-caking and emulsion stabilizer for a variety of personal care products and color cosmetics.
It is produced from high quality, vegetable-derived stearic acid.
INCI: magnesium stearate
Properties
- imparts creamy and moist feeling
- helps increase volume in applied cosmetics
- has mild emulsifying properties, emulsion stabilizer
- texturizer, opacifier
- non-gelling thickener
- anti-caking and bulking agent
- enhances slip and silkiness of formulations
Applications, usage
- makeup products: eye shadows, foundations, face powders, lipsticks, mascara
- creams, lotions, concealars, BB creams, CC creams
- in applications where a free flowing final product is desired
- miscible in oils, insoluble in water
- for liquid applications add to the oil phase of the formula
Storage: in a cool, dry place, protected from light
Cautions: do not inhale, do not ingest, cosmetic use
