Amla, known also as the Indian gooseberry is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C works to stimulate hair follicles encouraging healthy hair, is a purifying, astringent and tonic agent to the skin.

• as a oily macerate (amla oil) for scalp massage, hair oil
• as aqueous macerate in cosmetic formulations
• depending on application and dosage, amla powder may naturally darken hair
