Natural, water based system allows to formulate light feeling and highly spreadable emulsions with broad spectrum UV protection.

Uniquely allows to formulate high SPF, broad spectrum sun protection products using a single active ingredient. Combines an exceptional level of UVA protection with high UVB efficacy.

Offers much enhanced UVA attenuation, coupled with the high SPF efficacy typical of conventional titanium dioxide sunscreens, without excessive whitening.

Composition: hydrophobically coated titanium dioxide with a mean particle size
of 179nm dispersed in water. Contains 50% solids, non-nano.

INCI: titanium dioxide, aqua, polyglyceryl-2 caprate, sucrose stearate, simmondsia chinensis seed oil, stearic acid, alumina, glyceryl caprylate, squalane

Properties

• good compatibility with the majority of cosmetic ingredients

• achieves a critical wavelength of ~380nm, which is well in excess of the 370 nm required for UVA protection claims

• approved in certified organic cosmetic formulations

Applications, usage

• easy to use, can be stirred into the water phase before emulsification for w/o and o/w systems and provides excellent compatibility with other ingredients
• typical usage levels: 2-30%
• according to manufacturers tests, a dosage of 8% gives SPF10 and 22% gives SPF25 single active ingredient
• mix well before use!
