Henna, lawsonia inermis

Pure henna gives copper red tones or yields various shades of red to hair, depending on the natural colour of the hair and how it is applied. Improves hair appearance. Can be blended with other plant powders.

Properties

• pure henna powder, very fine, easy to mix with water
• coats the hair shaft with color and shine
• hair thickening and conditioning
• improves hair quality, leaves hair voluminous and shiny
• is able to cover white and gray hair
• gives red reflections to brown and dark types of hair
• combined with black henna yields different shades of brown

Applications, usage

• apply as a mask: mix with hot water until it is the consistency of yogurt, let it rest approx 30 minutes, apply abundently on clean dry hair, wrap the head with plastic foil and roll an old towel around; let sit for up to 3 hours; rinse well with water
• usually the color becomes more intense 2-3 days after dyeing
• to use henna, it is advised to wait 6-8 weeks after chemically treated hair

Storage: in a cool, dry place, protected from light
