Properties
- self-emulsifying, suggested for use as the primary emulsifier in o/w emulsion systems
- can be combined with various other emulsifier and thickener agents
- stabilizer and opacifier
- works best in neutral to slightly alkaline systems
Applications, usage
- suitable for all skin types, especially for combination and oily skin
- can be used in a wide range of products including moisturizers, anti-wrinckle creams, eye creams, body milks, BB creams, CC creams, sun care, and color cosmetics formulations
- recommended dosage 3-8%
- add to the fat phase and heat up to 70°C, optimum fat phase rate 10-30%
- optimum pH of emulsion: 6-7,5
- avoid adding acidic ingredients, that can destabilize the emulsion
- the addition of xanthan gum or a co-emulsifier contributes to the stabilization of fluid emulsions with low fat phase
Storage: in a cool, dry place, protected from light
