High purity DHA, fermentation-based, obtained by using renewable plant substrate (wheat, rapeseed).
The self-tanning effect of DHA is due to the coloring of the upper layer of the epidermis, generate brown melanoidins. It is different from the melanogenesis generated by UV stimulation.

INCI: Dihydroxyacetone (and) Water
Colorless to slightly yellow liquid, concentration ~60 % DHA.

Characteristics:
Fast and long-lasting tanning, the color change is visible within a few hours and lasts over 3-7 days.
The tan gradually fades as the dead cells of the horny layer flake off.
Tanning shade controlled: skin coloration is proportional to the number of applications and concentration of DHA.

Usage: easy to incorporate in the emulsion at the end of formulation, below 40°C. Dosage: glowing products: 1,5-5% and self-tanning products: 5-12%. pH stability: 4,5 - 6.5

Storage: in a cool, dry place, protected from light
