A plant treatment recipe with a mixture of essential oils effective in combating spiders, ants, fleas, flying insects, and the larvae of flies, fleas and mosquitoes.
Liquid Castile soap base, neutral | 6 gr (2 teaspoons) |
Peppermint essential oil | 20 drops |
Clove leaf essential oil | 20 drops |
Rosemary essential oil | 20 drops |
Thyme essential oil | 20 drops |
Lukewarm water | 250 ml |
Add the soap base and the essential oils to a glass, and mix well. Add the water, mix thoroughly, then transfer the liquid thus obtained to the dedicated bottle.
Recommended container: 250 ml Optima or Cristal bottle with trigger pump
It is applied by spraying, on the front, back and stem of plants. Rosemary destroys the larvae of flies, fleas and mosquitoes. Mint protects from ants, spiders and fleas. Thyme repels leeches and the Clove leaf essential oil protects our plants from flying insects.
It is recommended to repeat the treatment once every 7-10 days to keep the insects away.
Due to the minimum amount of soap used to incorporate essential oils into the water, the formula is biphasic and separates over time. The bottle should be shaken well before application.
The solution is recommended to be used immediately after preparation. In case of a surplus left after use, the solution can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
