Sanitize the dedicated containers and utensils you will work with, details in the general safety guidelines.
If the alum stone is in the form of crystals, it is first transformed into a powder with the help of a mortar and pestle. If you still want to use alum in the form of crystals, they will dissolve, but it takes longer.
Add the water and the alum powder to a glass and mix vigorously. Add the rest of the ingredients one at a time, mixing after each. At the end, mix thoroughly.
The solution thus prepared is transferred to the dedicated container and left to rest until the next day. The bottle may be shaken from time to time to facilitate complete dissolution of the alum.
The result is an alum-based deodorant that neutralizes the unpleasant odor of perspiration caused by bacterial proliferation. It is unscented, but it can be perfumed either using a floral water instead of flat water (peppermint, rose, neroli etc.), or using an aromatic extract of your choice.
Shake the bottle before use!
