Traditionally used in anti-infective, carminative, dental anesthetic applications, in case of oral infections, toothaches, tonsillitis, shingles, herpes, skin infections. Powerful broad-spectrum activity. Often found as ingredient in toothpaste and dental products.
In well-being applications gives force, encourage change, helps letting go.
Can be used in diffusion, or applied on the skin in proper dilution. In oral hygiene as an ingredient for toothpaste, mouthwash, gargle solution. Used in perfumery for spicy, warm, leathery, smoky, earthy accords.

Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not use for children under 6 years old. Dermocaustic, use highly diluted. Use in limited quantities and over a short period. Avoid in case of of hepatic insufficiency.
